#SeeHER Spotlight: Ellen Page
As an actress, Ellen Page has recently found herself in the spotlight for her Netflix series Umbrella Academy, but she caught even more attention with an inspiring interview with Stephen Colbert.
During the interview, Page opened up to Colbert with her thoughts on women's representation in Hollywood.
"I mean, look, there's clear evidence that it has changed, and that there is some progress, some more representation, but, honestly, I really think we need to hurry up. It's not cutting it."
Also during her late-night appearance, the actress spoke out about "the media that's saying it's a debate whether or not what happened to Jussie Smollett is a hate crime," adding, "It's absurd. This s*** isn't a debate."
Page finished by expressing gratitude that she has the chance to use her platform for good.
"I have traveled the world and I have met the most marginalized people you could meet. I am lucky to have this time and privilege to say this. This needs to f****** stop."
