Singer, actress, and now beauty brand owner, Rihanna debuted her second fashion show to Amazon Prime this past Friday. The show, titled "Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 2", showcased her second lingerie line and included a lineup of A-list celebrity appearances.
Shortly after the show's premiere, members of the Muslim community pointed out their heartbreak over the distasteful use of a Muslim text within the show.
At one point in the show, the song "Doom" by Coucou Chloe was played as models strutted around in their Savage X Fenty lingerie. The song itself featured an Islamic verse called a Hadith. The Hadith is sacred language as it refers to the record of the traditions or sayings of the Prophet Muhammad.
Muslim twitter users pointed out the offense and asked Rihanna to re-evaluate.
Here's just a few of the tweets:

In response to the outcry, Rihanna took to her Instagram story to apologize and thank the Muslim community for standing up and educating her and others. In the post, the Fenty owner stated,
"I'd like to thank the Muslim community for pointing out a huge oversight that was unintentionally offensive in our savage x fenty show. I would more importantly like to apologize to you for this honest, yet careless mistake. We understand that we have hurt many of our Muslim brothers and sisters, and I'm incredibly disheartened by this!"
She then promised to take better considerations in the future.
"I do not play with any kind of disrespect toward God or any religion and therefore the use of the song in our project was completely irresponsible! Moving forward we will make sure nothing like this ever happens again. Thank you for your forgiveness and understanding, Rih."
It is not known at this time whether or not Amazon Prime will be able to edit or remove the music from the show.
