Country legends Reba McEntire and Darius Rucker were announced as hosts of the CMA Awards this morning. They appeared on Good Morning America to announce the exciting news.
Reba McEntire has made her mark on projects ranging from music to television to film to theater to even retail. She has produced 35 number one singles and scored six CMA awards. On top of these successes, she has scored 16 ACM Awards, 15 AMA Awards, and three Grammys.
Darius Rucker is a legendary country singer who has scored three Grammy Awards and won CMA's Best New Artist award back in 2009 which launched his sustainable career. The star has nine songs at the top of the country charts over the course of his career.
Reba took to her Instagram feed to announce her excitement for the evening.
"I'm thrilled to be back hosting the #CMAawards and even more thrilled that I get to share the stage with @dariusrucker. We're looking forward to a night of celebrating great Country music and hope you'll tune in and watch LIVE Wednesday, November 11th on @abcnetwork!
Rucker joined in on the good news, posting:
"Man, I always said I'd love to host the #CMAawards but never thought it would happen! Honored to be hosting one of the biggest nights of Country Music with my dear friend, @reba. Watch live on Wednesday, Nov. 11th on @abcnetwork."
Many country superstars will join the night as they perform their hit songs and receive accolades for their successful year in music. Miranda Lambert received the most nominations with a total of seven nods, followed by Luke Combs and Maren Morris who have six and five nominations, respectively.
