Rachael Kirkconnell has spoken out for the first time since The Bachelor finale on Monday.
The 24-year-old took to Instagram to reflect back on the emotional season, writing:
"This was supposed to be a monumental season, and one of the biggest disappointments has been the overshadowing of these beautiful women and their stories."
Kirkconnell continued on to reveal that the women of season 25 are "some of the strongest, most brilliant, most extraordinary women and I was lucky enough to have met them."
During 'After The Final Rose,' James revealed that he and Kirkconnell had split following the racism controversy that surfaced a few weeks ago.
In her post, Kirkconnell addressed the breakup, saying:
"While I never expected this outcome, I respect his decision completely."
She shared that she feels blessed for the time the two had together and "the memories we made."
Kirkconnell also revealed that James will always hold a piece fo her heart, as she truly believes "he was the love of my life."
