The entire cast of the Punky Brewster reboot is enjoying every moment, as the show is quickly becoming a hit on Peacock!
Punky Brewster was a huge hit in the 80s, and the reboot of the show is following its original steps. The grown-up Punky is now a busy mom and Soleil Moon Frye opens up as to what it's like to be back on screen.
"It really feels like a continuation of the original, where here we are as a family that is figuring it all out in this new stage in our lives," Frye said.
The young co-stars are more than thrilled to bring this new version for a younger generation. Lauren Lindsey Donzis is one of the breakout young stars on the Punky reboot.
"It's going to be really fun for people that especially have watched the original show to just see it being reintroduced."
These young stars were not even born when the show first aired in the 80s.
"We got to watch a lot of it... but I can't exactly remember. I mean... during COVID, who can remember a lot?" Quinn Copeland said.
When asked about what they'd like to do in the future, Noah Cottrell and Oliver De Los Santos shared their individual aspirations.
"For me it would be awesome to do horror, but if I did it I'd be super terrified while actually filming it," Cottrell said.
"I am a really big 'Star Wars' fan. If I got an audition for that, I'd scream," De Los Santos said.
Punky Brewster is streaming now on Peacock.
