On July 1st, 2021, Prince William and Prince Harry will honor their late mother, Princess Diana.
The Royal Brothers plan to honor their late mother with a statue. The statue will reportedly be finished by July 1st, 2021, Princess Diana's 60th Birthday. The news is surprising as rumors of a rift between the brothers since the Royal Wedding in 2018 have risen. The plan for the statue has been in the works since January of 2017. In a joint statement, the brothers shared:
"It has been twenty years since our mother's death and the time is right to recognize her positive impact in the UK and around the world with a permanent statue, Our mother touched so many lives."
Princess Diana of Wales was the first wife to Prince Charles. She was known for her kindness and philanthropy, and Diana was tragically killed on August 31, 1997 in a car accident. The news shocked the world due to how beloved Diana was and how sudden her passing came.
The Royal Family plans to bring the statue to Kensington Palace on July 1st, 2021.
