Your favorite childhood cartoon is back- all grown up! The CW network has officially announced the three stars for their live-action pilot of The Powerpuff Girls.
Chloe Bennet, Dove Cameron, and Yana Perrault are The City of Townsville's newest Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup.
The reboot, which is based on the original Cartoon Network animated series, is written by Diablo Cody and Heather Reginer and directed by Maggie Kiley. However, don't expect the same kind of plot. The series now follows the girls all grown-up but downcast, the plot describes:
Now, they're disillusioned twentysomethings who resent having lost their childhoods to crimefighting. When the world needs them more than ever, will they agree to reunite?

Chloe Bennet as Blossom
The actress is best known for her role as Daisy Johnson in ABC's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Dove Cameron as Bubbles
Cameron is best known for her role in Disney's Descendants and comedy series Liv and Maddie. She also appeared in Hairspray Live! as Amber Von Tussle as well as many other stage roles.
Yana Perrault
Yana was most recently seen on Broadway in the Alanis Morissette musical Jagged Little Pill. She is also well known as a music artist, as she is a self taught musician and producer.
While there is not a set premiere date or a confirmed first season beside the pilot just yet, we are already in love with this series and can't wait to find out more!
