It was Global Rick and Morty Day on June 20th, and there were some interesting themed events before the season five premiere on Sunday night.
Rick and Morty season five premiered June 20th on Adult Swim and HBO Max, and the show's creators have worked very hard to find creative ways to advertise the show over the years, whether it being billboards that went over most viewers' heads or a collaboration with McDonald's for szechuan sauce.
The cartoon itself is very successful and over the weekend it was entertaining to "get Rick'd" and see yourself in the animation style of the show.

The most interesting event to come out this weekend however was definitely the Wendy's pop-up shop in the Los Angeles area.
The Panorama City Wendy's location became a promotional "Morty's" from June 18th-20th, offering exclusive Rick and Morty themed drinks, food, and deals. The pop-up featured an LED experience that related to the new season, some blow-up heads of both Rick and Morty (which cars had to drive through), free Pickle Rick Frostys, etc.
The food chain is still offering themed drinks and some meal deals at participating locations until August 22nd.
Catch up with seasons 1-4 on Hulu or HBO Max. Be sure to watch the new season on Adult Swim, Sling TV, Hulu, or Youtube TV with any live TV option.
