As if a romance with Kim Kardashian and Oscar host rumors weren't enough, Pete Davidson finds himself in the news once again, this time for his latest project.
Following the success of The Purge movies, director James DeMonaco is returning to the horror genre for a new movie starring the Saturday Night Live writer and actor. Both proudly come from Staten Island, and are excited to be working together on their new film, The Home.
The story will reportedly follow Davidson's character, Max, who works at a retirement home. After snooping through the forbidden fourth floor, he finds both the caretakers and residents have "more than a few skeletons in their closets". Through them, Max learns about his own past and secrets, stemming from growing up in foster care.
A character with a dark secret is not new to the thriller genre, but the setting of a nursing home is certainly fresh. Audiences can expect a new look at the environment, as well as the addressing of more serious topics. Producer Bill Block shares,
"We’re excited to be backing DeMonaco’s brilliant vision. With his masterful storytelling abilities and Pete’s versatility as an actor, this film will put audiences everywhere on the edge of their seats."
Production is scheduled to begin later this month. No release date is set.
