Everything to Know About Pete Davidson's New Comedy Series

Pete Davidson will be starring in the new comedy series "Bupkis" on Peacock.

The series will not only star Davidson, but will be written and executive produced by the comedian as well. The half-hour comedy series is based on a "fictionalized version" of Davidson's real life and will mix "grounded storytelling with absurd elements" of Davidson's experiences from his point of view.

Peacock announced the news on Wednesday after winning an extremely competitive bidding war for the rights to the series.

"Pete Davidson is one of the most sought-after comedians today with his smart, one-of-a-kind humor and honest point of view," said Susan Rovner, chairman, entertainment content, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming.
"'Bupkis' will showcase Pete's funny, surprising and unfiltered brand of comedy audiences have come to love as we continue to bolster our Peacock comedy slate," continued Rovner. "We can't wait to dive in with Lorne Michaels, Broadway Video and our partners at Universal Television."

"Saturday Night Live" creator Lorne Michaels will executive produce, along with Andrew Singer and Erin David.

Additionally, Davidson's longtime friends and creative partners Judah Miller and Dave Sirus, who worked with the comedian on "The King of Staten Island" will join the star as writers and producers on the show.

A release date has not yet been revealed.
