The show follows the story of Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) and his family's rise to power in post WWI Birmingham. BBC confirmed the show would end on Monday, after announcing it was resuming production in the UK with far stricter COVID guidelines. Creator Steven Knight has stated the show will "continue in another form", according to Variety, possibly implying a spin off of some kind. That wouldn't be particularly surprising, given the shows massive popularity overseas and growing notoriety in the states, but all we know as of right now is that season six will be the last we see of the Shelby clan for a while.
