94-year-old Mae Krier, known for being an original 'Rosie The Riveter' is stepping up once more to help out others during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The inspiring woman with a heart full of gold is sewing and distributing out masks that are stitched from the same cloth as Rosie The Riveter red bandana. In an interview with CNN, Krier mentioned:
"I always made (them) for Rosie travel. We go to Washington and places and whenever we do, they love the bandanas. And I was making a lot of them when the virus started, and I just switched over from bandanas to face masks."
Due to the high demand, Krier quickly ran out of supplies and was unable to go to the store herself. With one simple Facebook post asking for supplies, they immediately showed up at her door from supporters:
"People are starting to send me material and elastic and everything that I need from all over the country. It's absolutely amazing. I'm just stunned."
As of today, Krier has made over 300 masks with no plans to stop anytime soon.
