The Big Apple dimmed its lights during the COVID-19 pandemic, but with the return of New York Fashion Week, the city is quickly turning itself around. What better way to bring back NYC other than NYFW?
The landmark fashion event will take place September 8th-12th, and Sonia Isabelle caught up with model and podcast host, Robbi Jan, to see what fashion lovers can expect from this year's NYFW.
On Robbi's podcast Miracle Mindset, mental health is topic at the forefront of the conversations. With things now open in NYC for fashion week, Robbi shares the positive impact this has on mental health.
"The idea that things are open again is incredibly exciting and the city can get back to what it once was, and people can see their friends and their families and be safe about it, as well," Jan said.
According to Robbi, there has been a "huge shift" in the fashion industry over the last two years due to the pandemic.
"I think it's going to be an incredible fashion week. As you know, there has been a huge shift in the fashion space over the last two years. A big part of that is actually due to quarantine. Instead of wearing the slim fitting, tight, business-like attire that was a trend a couple years ago. We are now navigating more towards close-fitting, comfier clothing..
