Noah Schnapp Shares Moving Text His Grandfather Sent After Coming Out

Fans are happy to learn that the Stranger Things star's family has his back.

Ever since coming out as gay, Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp has received a flood of support online. Now, fans are happy to learn that Schnapp's family also has his back.

The actor recently shared a heartwarming text from his grandfather, which Schnapp said he received after he came out in a TikTok video.

"Hey noah I became aware today of your public announcement that you are gay," Schnapp's grandfather wrote in the text, per Eonline. "I just want you to know that I love you the same and I'm happy for you to be open and to be yourself. Just be proud of who and what you are. Iris and I are supportive of your honestly and ability to express your true self! Love you to the moon and back."

Fans were glad to hear that the actor has a solid support system, with some even sharing their own experiences coming out to their grandparents and family members.

When Schnapp initially came out in January, he lip-synced to a viral sound with words displayed onscreen that read: "When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was 'we know.'"
