David Bromstad is making real estate fantasies come true on HGTV'sMy Lottery Dream Home.
My Lottery Dream Home has grown immensely since its debut on HGTV in 2015.
"Honestly, none of us thought it was going to last, so it was a concept, and then all of a sudden it just started taking off and just taking off, and I was like, 'This is so weird.' I literally cannot leave my house without someone recognizing me," David Bromstad said.
On the show, lottery winners team up with Bromstad and hunt for their dream home. Whether it's a mansion in the suburbs or a sleek condo in the city, Bromstad is there to help them find the one.
"One, it's a feel-good show, and two, it's a fantasy show because we're not showing massive houses, so people will actually think they can win the lottery. Most of our winners are a million bucks. That's attainable for people. People are like, 'I can win a million bucks. I can do that.' It's not a matter of if they're going to win. It's a matter of when they're going to win now."
Bromstad, known for winning the first season of HGTV's Design Star, takes on a new role as house hunting extraordinaire.
"I thought I would be more famous for doing my interior design, and I did very well there, but now I'm the house guy. Now I'm the lottery guy, and it's pretty cool. I love it."
