Lori Harvey and Michael B. Jordan have reportedly split after more than a year of dating.

Reports of the pair splitting started making rounds earlier this week. It has been reported that the reason behind the celebs' split was that the "Black Panther" star wanted to take things to "the next level" with the 25-year-old. Despite his desires, Harvey seemingly wasn't ready to make such a commitment.

A source told PEOPLE:

"Michael matured a lot over the course of their relationship and was ready to commit for the long term. He let his guard down with her, opening up emotionally in a romantic relationship for the first time."

The source added that both are "completely heartbroken" over the split.

On June 6, Steve Harvey confirmed his daughter's breakup with the actor on an episode of "The Steve Harvey Morning Show." He said,

"I'm team Lori 1000 percent. She's my daughter. I love her, I support her."

As for how he feels about the "Creed" actor, Harvey said he's "still a cool guy."

"It's a breakup. I'm pretty sure they'll be fine. People break up all the time."
