From all about that bass to all about that taste!
It's a new take on a classic!
With Meghan Trainor serving as host and Marcus Samuelsson serving as head judge, Top Chef Family Style is the show fans know and love with a twist.
There's still a batch of chefs competing for a cash prize just like any other season of Top Chef. Only this time, the contestants are kids accompanied by family members.
“I love saying yes to things that scare me and this scared me. Luckily, I had Marcus there with me helping me since day one, guiding me, teaching me," Trainor said.
Top Chef Family Style is just one of the many spin-offs that have spawned since Top Chef's inception back in 2006. One of the most popular spin-offs is Top Chef Masters, which follows a group of established chefs competing for a cash prize for charity. Marcus Samuelsson was crowned the winner of the sophomore season.
“It was so much fun watching the kids really grow too and work better as a team. We had a lot of fun... and you know what? Meghan started maybe not being the best chef, but coming out of it? Boom!"
