Growing up on screen as Diane Johnson on ABC's black-ish, fans have watched Marsai Martin develop into the actress and producer she is today.
Letting her aspirations flourish and following her dreams, Martin broke the record as the youngest executive producer in Hollywood history for her work on the film Little.
"When I was just getting into the industry, there wasn't a lot of young black girls. So if there wasn't a lot of me on the screen... how can other people know that they can do this, whether it is in front of the camera or behind," Martin said.
The star is now lending her voice in a new animated series, Dragons: Rescue Riders.
"I started 'Rescue Riders' when I was about half way through 'black-ish' playing Diane. When I got the character Aggro, she reminded me so much of that character because they are both witty, smart and they don't take no mess."
Now as she prepares to say farewell to black-ish, fans are excited to see where Marsai's career will thrive next.
"I'm just excited for everyones next chapter and seeing where everyone goes."
Dragons: Rescue Riders is streaming now on Peacock.
