The dancer-turned-actress was interviewed on her adjustments to stardom, while detailing some of her harrowing experiences on the reality competition show.

Ziegler shared, in the article published June 14,

“My dance teacher taught that if you don’t get the trophy, if you don’t get the crown, you are less than, which is the worst way to train a kid. It carries into other life lessons."

She added,

“She trained me, she helped me, but also, I knew I would be okay without her and I was sick of being in a toxic environment. I was like, 'This is not for me. I can’t do this.' I haven’t spoken to her since.”

However, Miller wasn't pleased with Ziegler's comments. On Wednesday, she came out with a video response on YouTube, titled “Dear Cosmopolitan," claiming she's "said lots of things but never that."

The dance coach then elaborated on her extensive involvement in the Ziegler's success.

“Who went to bat, so that Maddie could leave production and go to LA and shoot a music video called, 'Chandelier'? I did," Miller stated. "I fought with the producers. I fought with the network. I put my job on the line for a kid. A kid that I loved.”
