Good news, Alfie stans! It appears Alfie isn't going to be leaving Paris just yet, which means the love life of our favorite fashionista is about to get a whole lot more complicated.

"Emily in Paris" showrunner Darren Star made a big announcement during Paley Fest in LA on Sunday. During the show's panel session, Star revealed that Lucien Laviscount, who played Alfie, one of Lily Collin's love interests in season two of the hit show, has been promoted to a main cast member for the future third and fourth seasons.

"Emily in Paris" cast members Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, and Camille Razat, and director Andrew Flemming, joined the panel alongside Star, Laviscount, and Collins at the event.

Star also revealed some more exciting news sharing that season 3 of the show is set to begin filming this June.

When questioned about the filming in Paris for the upcoming season, Star responded that they are planning to film in areas of France outside of Paris as well, like they did with the Saint-Tropez holiday trip episode in season two.

“We’re always thinking about how we can show Paris,” Star said. “It’s not hard to make Paris look amazing, because it is, from wherever you look or wherever you point the camera. We will always want the story to drive locations. but we have some some really beautiful locations lined up for season three in France, not just in Paris.”

While Star remained quiet about any other details of season three, the panel continued with cast members reflecting on the events that unfolded during season two.

Lily Collins explained that while she instantly fell in love with her character, Emily's, passion and drive for her career, she often finds herself frustrated with Emily's many questionable love choices. When asked what advice she would give Emily in season three, Collins echoed the advice that Park's character, Mindy gave her during the finale, which was to stop focusing so much on what she thinks she should be doing.

“What do you want to do, what is it you want, not what other people want you to do?” Collins said. “It’s something that actually, I, myself, find myself in the same situation like, ‘oh, I should,’ and I have Mindy’s voice in my head, being like ‘stop thinking that way.’ So I’d tell her to get out of her own head.”

Before concluding the panel, Bravo, who plays Chef Gabriel, another one of Emily's love interests on the show, took the time to thank the fans and attendees for their support, as he explained this was one of the first in person events the cast has been able to do since the pandemic first hit inhibiting them from truly connecting with their fans.

"I want to take this occasion while we’re all here packed together to thank you for the respect, the positive messages you’ve been sending our way, all the love,” Bravo said. “This is our fuel, and we wouldn’t be here without all of you, and it’s such a pleasure to come back to set and to give the best of ourselves, to give you something to escape to.”
