Season two star of Netflix's Love Is Blind Deepti Vempati's brother, Sunny, stood up for his sister on Instagram on Sunday, February 27th, by sharing a joint post with his partner, Hina Merchant Vempati.
Right before the season two finale, Deepti had been engaged to Abhishek "Shake" Chatterjee but declined to marry him at the wedding because, according to E! News, he made multiple remarks about her appearance throughout the show.
Sunny Vempati and his partner Hina Merchant Vempati stood up for Deepti on Instagram. Their joint Instagram post featured a picture of Deepti and a message about their opinions on the matter.
Vempati had an encouraging message for his sis, saying,
"We've witnessed you grow into such an incredible and beautiful woman; you've inspired so any people to realize their self worth and demand what they deserve and settle for nothing less."
He also had a few words for her former fiance, writing,
"Now normally, I don't get involved in the drama but I'mma defend my sister: "Shake", bruh, you're a loser. You minimized my sister's life by making some awful and cringe-worthy comments about her."
He went on to say,
"Despite your comments on and off camera about her body, she continued to only ever be supportive of you, despite our best efforts to convince her to see through your BS. THAT'S the person she is."
