Watch Lizzo Belt Her Heart Out in one of James Corden's Final Carpool Karaokes

Atlantic Records

After Jame Corden announced that he's leaving "The Late Late Show" back in April, fans have been counting down the number of “Carpool Karaokes” they have left. Recently, Corden welcomed Lizzo on his show.

The eccentric pair began the drive, hitting every high note as they jammed out to Lizzo’s “Good as Hell,” “Juice,” and “Truth Hurts.” In between songs, they talk about some of Lizzo’s struggles on her rise to fame. Lizzo compares Beyoncé to her “North Star,” telling James that she helped her through tough times.

"When I was shy or when I didn't think I was cool and when I was getting picked on I would listen to Beyoncé in my bedroom and it would transport me. I would feel something. I would feel like my life was going to be better."

She added,

“The way she makes people feel, I want to make people feel with music.”

Lizzo and Corden then paid homage to the singer, amming out to "Crazy In Love."

During the car ride, Corden also spontaneously pulls a flute out of the back seat of the car. From there, Lizzo plays an impromptu riff on the flute. She revealed she began playing the instrument when she was 12 years old.
