Lauren Bushnell Lane is opening up about her disheartening diagnosis that she received amidst her second pregnancy.
The former 'Bachelor' star shared on Instagram,
"I was recently diagnosed with something called marginal cord insertion. I was incredibly stressed out when my doctor told me that but I'm trying to stay optimistic."
Lauren is currently expecting with her husband Chris Lane.
In the video, she added,
"The umbilical cord attaches to the edge of the placenta versus the middle. [Babies] get the most nutrients [at the middle] and it's the easiest way for the blood to flow to the baby."
Lauren revealed that the beginning of her pregnancy was "way worse this time around."
"I just feel like I was way sicker, I threw up a lot more often, hence the hospital visit," Lauren shared. "Thankfully now I am feeling so much better."
The former 'Bachelor' star explained the diagnosis requires her to "be monitored more often," but her baby is still "very healthy, measuring great, measuring a little bit big if anything."
The family shared with PEOPLE, that her pregnancy was "very much an unexpected surprise."
