Kristen Bell One on One
From Veronica Mars to The Good Place to Frozen, Kristen Bell is a busy woman, but that didn't keep her from stopping in New York City to light up the Empire State Building.
The occasion was to bring light to, not just the New York skyline, but a good cause -- the Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund.
“They find women who have great ideas as to how to help their communities and they give them funding, and they give them managerial training, capacity training, and tech training.”
With her fan-favorite series Veronica Mars making a comeback on Hulu, we ask the star why this character has resonated so deeply.
“They always say that Veronica is a superhero without a cape, and I think now, more than ever, people want to see an everyday hero fighting for good.”
Says fan connection is the best thing you could possibly ask for.
While she loves the support from fans, she says that the weirdest moments come from the parents of Frozen-fans. Naturally, it leads to some confusion when parents urge their kids to take a picture with ‘Ana from Frozen.’
“They’re like ‘that’s not her, I’ve seen her; she’s a cartoon.’”
Another unexpected reaction came after she and her husband Dax Shepard began to open up publicly about their relationship.
Since then, they have found that people thank them for speaking honestly about things like going to therapy.
“Maybe that’s part of our responsibility; to just tell the whole story.”
