Keith Sweat Stars In New Movie Musical 'Howard High' | Celebrity Page
R&B legend Keith Sweat is showing off a new set of skills in the new film Howard High.

Sweat, who has sold over 25 million albums, is putting his musical talents to use in the new movie Howard High, based on the popular miniseries by the same name.

Keith, who mentors young artists himself, opened up about his motivation for taking on the role.

"Because it's about mentorship with Marques, who plays the teacher, and I'm supposed to be his mentor. They look at me as the OG," Sweat said.

When the performing arts program at Howard High is in jeopardy of being shut down, students rally together to raise the money they need to save their beloved program.

"I think its necessary to have those programs in order for kids to develop their mind and, and feel they have a sense of achievement."

As a music producer, personally discovering and working with young talent, the premise of the film really hit home for Keith.

And for all of my 90's R&B fans out there, Sweat revealed he is currently working on new music in the studio with fellow R&B singer, Tamar Braxton.

Howard High is available to stream on Tubi now.
