Here are the highlights from last night's episode:
The episode began with a group date where the men played a game of truth or dare. Once split into teams, each group was tasked with several dares ranging from downing various junk foods, waxing one another, and proposing with a phony ring after eating two habaneros peppers. The second half of the group date was more formal and focused on truth-telling.
During this group date, Tre pulled bachelorette Katie Thurston aside for an intense conversation about fellow contestant Thomas. Tre and other contestants feel that Tre is not completely honest about his intentions in coming on the show. According to Tre, Thomas came on the show vying to be the next star of The Bachelor rather than a suitor on The Bachelorette.
1. Tre Confronts Katie About Thomas
Halfway through the episode Tayshia Adams, season 16's bachelorette, had a conversation with Katie where she revelaed a former contestant wanted to return and compete for Katie's love. Katie, excited but hesitant, agrees to meet with the mystery man.
The mystery man is revealed to be Blake Moynes, a former contestant who competed for both Clare Crawley's and Tayshia Adams's love in season 16.
While Katie did not give Blake the green light yet, based on this conversation, it seems likely she will allow him to stay.
2. Katie and Blake's Conversation
Before the rose ceremony, Thomas and Katie have a heart-to-heart. When put on the spot about his intentions, Thomas admitted to being open to the prospect of becoming the next bachelor. Katie leaves the conversation conflicted and still unsure of where Thomas stands.
3. Thomas and Katie's Heated Conversation
The episode ended with a surprising twist where Katie calls Thomas's name, ostensibly to give him a rose. Instead, she lets him have it by calling out his manipulative behavior and sends him packing.
