Kathy Ireland began her career at 16, rapidly rising to "supermodel" status and gracing the pages of Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Sports Illustrated and now... Forbes?
Yes, Forbes.
While becoming the image of the 80's and 90's with roles in film and television and an impressive run of 13 successive Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues, Kathy turned her focus into creating and growing her brand, ultimately rivaling household names such as Martha Stewart and Cindy Crawford.
"We built our brand with really a foundation and a belief that it's people over profits..."
Kathy's marketing savvy has taken her business global and her name brands cross the spectrum from fashion to home furnishings and pretty much everything in between.
Along with her considerable business acumen, Kathy's charitable work is most noteworthy. September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and Kathy is in the vanguard as the International Youth Chair for the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
"Every day 43 precious children will be diagnosed with cancer and that is just heartbreaking."
As our #SeeHER Spotlight Celebrity, Kathy is asking everyone's participation in joining #Team 43 and taking the #43 Challenge. Your support will help make a difference.
