Kate Beckinsale’s New Roles
Stepping out at the New York launch party for Russell Hobbs, Kate Beckinsale, the British brand’s first stateside ambassador was looking fabulous — as always.
“My mum had all those appliances in our house growing up, so it was really nice to be asked to bring that to America.” - Kate Beckinsale
Surrounded by British icons from red telephone booths to tea-time favorites, Beckinsale told us about her upcoming films.
In Farming, she plays the foster mother of a Nigerian boy sent to live with a British family in pursuit of a better future.
“It was especially important because it was a real person; it was actually the director’s mother.” - Kate Beckinsale
Beckinsale is also making the jump to the small screen in Amazon’s upcoming The Widow, an eight-part drama about a woman whose husband is presumed to have died a plane crash until she discovers that might not be the case.
Never to be limited, the actress also expresses her desire to take on more projects from behind-the-camera.
