By all accounts, President-elect Joe Biden will bring his family to the White House next year - including his two adorable German Shepherds Major and Champ.
And, breaking yet another record in the Biden Family - German shepherd Champ will be the first rescue dog to ever live in the White House. According to Today, the Bidens adopted Major in 2018 from the Delaware Humane Association. They had already had Champ as a part of the family since 2008 from a breeder.
Last week, Biden posted a campaign full of adorable dogs in Biden attire to emphasize the need for dogs back in the White House. The caption writes,
"These dogs are here for some paw-sitive encouragement as we get closer to election day. Let's bring dogs back to the White House."
The last dogs to live in the presidential house were Barack Obama's Portuguese water dogs named Sunny and Bo.
