Jodie Sweetin on Being Thrown to the Ground by LAPD at Pro-Choice Rally

On Saturday, actress Jodie Sweetin, who's best known for her role as Stephanie Tanner on "Fuller House," was pushed by a Los Angeles Police officer while attending a rally. She was protesting the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

A video of the incident went viral right after it occurred, showing an LAPD officer grabbing and pushing Sweetin. Before the actress falls to the ground, a group of fellow protestors quickly help Sweetin up. Meanwhile, other protesters scold the police officers.

"I'm extremely proud of the hundreds of people who showed up yesterday to exercise their First Amendment rights and take immediate action to peacefully protest the giant injustices that have been delivered from our Supreme Court," the 'Full house' actress said in a statement following the incident. "Our activism will continue until our voices are heard and action is taken. This will not deter us. We will continue fighting for our rights. We are not free until ALL of us are free."

Today on E!'s "Daily Pop," the 40 year old talked about the incident. making it clear that she doesn't want the incident to be about her.

"Above all, I want to continue to not make this about me and continue to bring the focus back to women's rights and also police brutality," she said. "If people are disturbed by what they saw, let me tell you, I've spent a lot of time protesting out in the streets and that is a very minor incident of police brutality."

She added,

"I've met some incredible angles of activism out there that are really really doing the work. And that's what this is about, just keep doing the work."
