There's a new host for hit ABC's dating show The Bachelor and his name is Jesse Palmer. He is quite familiar with the role and the dynamics of the show, having participated himself as The Bachelor Season 5 in 2004. Palmer will substitute Chris Harrison in this brand new 26th season.
Palmer has come a long way. He's a television broadcaster and a former NFL quarterback player. He has collaborated on ABC News, Good Morning America and as sports commentator on ESPN.
Even though this is the first time that he'll host The Bachelor, Palmer is pretty accustomed to the role of host. He previously hosted the reality TV show The Proposal (2018) and ABC's Disney Park's holiday specials. Furthermore, Palmer is now hosting ABC's summer series The Ultimate Surfer.
In a tweet, The Bachelor page welcomed back Palmer:
"Welcome back @JessePalmerTV! Jesse Palmer will be hosting the upcoming season of #TheBachelor!"
And Palmer himself appeared incredibly grateful for the opportunity of coming back where it all started. In an Instagram post, he can be spotted at The Bachelor's Mansion, wearing an elegant suit. Palmer captioned the post with the following:
"Bachelor Nation - I couldn't be more thrilled to be home with my @bachelorabc family! Word on the street is it's pretty AMAZING around here!"
Recently, ABC has confirmed that the new Bachelor's name is Clayton Echard. Although a premiere date for the new season has yet to be announced, it is expected to begin in 2022. Indeed, season 18 of The Bachelorette wrapped up in September 2021 and The Bachelor went into production right afterwards.
As the wait for the new season of The Bachelor grows, you can stream previous seasons on Hulu.
