Supernatural star Jensen Ackles recently opened up about his "horrible" experience working with Jessica Alba.
On an episode of Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum, Ackles said,
"I was the new kid on the block, and I was picked on by the lead," he said, adding that their vibe on set was "the worst kind of bickering a brother and sister could do."
"It wasn't that she didn't like me. She just was like, 'Oh, here's the pretty boy that network brought in for some more window dressing because that's what we all need.'" Jensen added that he chose to "fight fire with fire," Eventually, he and Jessica got along.
However, he did say there were moments where they did get along. When Alba's boyfriend at the time was away, she asked Ackles to keep her company at her house, which he did, platonically.
"I love Jess, which I know kind of contradicts what I just said," he explained. "She was under an immense amount of pressure on that show. She was young, she was in a relationship, and that was … causing some undue stress, I believe."
Alba has opened up about her own experience on the show, telling Marie Claire several years ago that she "felt like [she] was being objectified," and it made her "uncomfortable."
She also noted,
"Everyone formed a strong opinion about me because of how I was marketed. I was supposed to be sexy, this tough action girl. That's what people expected."
