It is almost the 40th anniversary of Janet Jackson's debut album and the artist has decided to celebrate by starring and being executive producer of a four-hour documentary on her career and personal life.
The documentary about Jackson's life and career is going to be broadcast simultaneously on Lifetime and A&E in early 2022, which marks the 40th anniversary of Jackson's self-titled 1982 debut album. At the time of recording the album, the singer was just 16-years-old.
The documentary will be titled Janet Jackson and will reveal unprecedented new elements of Jackson's life.
Jackson is one of the most profitable artists in the entertainment industry. But the singer experienced turbulent moments in her life, like the death of her brother Michael Jackson, deceased in 2009, and her father Joseph Jackson, who passed away in 2018.
Furthermore, the recent documentary Framing Britney Spears has put light on the incident of the 2004 Super Bowl, which saw Jackson in great difficulty when part of her clothing was removed showing her right breast. Timberlake had described the situation as a "wardrobe malfunction" at the time. In the new documentary, Jackson will open up about this vicissitude.
And the documentary won't just focus on these hard and controversial topics, but will also explore the singer's career and the feelings of becoming a mother.
Mark your calendars everyone! Janet Jackson, the four-hour documentary about Janet Jackson, will arrive in early 2022 on Lifetime and A&E!
