Well-known actor James Caan passed away at the age of 82. He was best known for his roles in "The Godfather," "Misery" and "Elf."
The news was first announced on his official Twitter Thursday by his family. They shared,
"It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Jimmy on the evening of July 6."
They added,
"The family appreciates the outpouring of love and heartfelt condolences and asks that you continue to respect their privacy during this difficult time."
Caan enjoyed using Twitter in his later years. He often posted photos with friends and family, followed by his signature, "End of Tweet."
