Jack Harlow on Those Lil Nas X Dating Rumors

Jack Harlow and Lil Nas X

The rapper joked that the experience was "one of the best nights of my entire life."

Rapper Jack Harlow hosted Saturday Night Live this weekend for the first time and wasn’t afraid to talk about his history with “Industry Baby” singer Lil Nas X.

Ever since the two artists collaborated on that song, fans have shipped the two, even begging them to reshoot the music video so that Harlow could be in the nude scene with X.

Harlow addressed the rumors that he and X were more than just collaborators during his opening monologue, where he also mentioned rumors that he is 5 foot ten (“stop it,” he joked) and was “created by the CIA.” But it was another rumor he addressed that we need to talk about.

“I’ve heard people try to romantically link me and Lil Nas X as an item,” Harlow said, drawing cheers from the audience. “I’m going to tell you right now: No, everything that happened between us was casual and consensual and one of the best nights of my entire life – working with him, working with him.”

When the video for “Industry Baby” came out, fans desperately wished that Harlow had been present in the video’s infamous shower scene. The video shows X and Harlow spending time in Montero State Prison in hot pink prison jumpsuits.

In one of the most famous scenes from the video, Nas is dancing naked in the prison shower along with eight sexy, naked dancers. It was an iconic moment that truly broke the internet.

However, fans wanted more, asking Harlow why he wasn’t also dancing naked with Nas.

“Nas wrote the whole treatment for this video and I followed his lead every step of the way,” Harlow replied at the time. “If he had asked me to be in that shower scene I woulda been in that shower scene. I just let the mastermind cook. Honored to be a part of it.”

Nas immediately regretted his decision. “Wait!!! I didn’t know,” he tweeted. “Let’s shoot again! Please Jack Harlow!!! Please.”

He also apologized to the gay shippers of the world for depriving us a sexy Nas and Jack scene. “To the LGBTQ+ community I sincerely apologize,” he tweeted. “I have failed you. I am embarrassed. I am ashamed. And I will learn from my mistakes.”
