The up-and-coming entrepreneur put on multiple hats in his new film.
'Huracán' Premieres On HBO 🎬
Huracán premieres today, but nobody is more excited than Cassius Corrigan!
Speaking with Ricky Cornish, Corrigan opened up on his dreams coming true with the release of the film...
"It's been such an emotional rollercoaster from the beginning, because the inception of this project was born out of the failure to get my other projects made," Corrigan said.
The rising star wrote, directed and starred in the film which tackles a ton of important topics. The film tells the story of an aspiring MMA fighter who suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder and features a predominantly Latinx cast.
"You really get this deep psychologically complex and interesting look into mental illness in a way that I feel we've never represented on screen before. On the other side, we have incredibly visceral and authentic MMA fight action."
Overall, Corrigan finds the most pride in sharing with the spotlight with his talented cast and crew.
"I have such a big team of Latino-driven cast and crew who, for many of them, it was the first feature film they had ever worked on. We made a very heartfelt film that, if nothing else, will touch you deeply."
Huracán is available on HBO and HBO Max.
