First it was High School Musical, then Descendants, and now the newest hit teenage musical show is called Julie and the Phantoms.
Julie and the Phantoms tells the story of a teenage girl who is haunted by three teenage ghosts. She finds her passion for music while also helping the ghostly trio become their own band.
Advocate Channel correspondent Arthur Kade got to talk with some of the cast and crew, including the star of the show Madison Reyes. When asked about working with renowned director Kenny Ortega, she said:
"I grew up on High School Musical, and my sister grew up on Descendants, so he's definitely had a lot of influence on my life and, you know, my family's life... my dad grew up watching his movies like Dirty Dancing and all of those incredible things."
Ortega also brought back two of his Descendants stars to the new series, including Cheyenne Jackson and Booboo Stewart.
Other new faces brought onto the show are Charlie Gillespie, Owen Joyner, and Jeremy Shada.
