Originally a young adult fantasy novel by Laurence Yep, The Tiger's Apprentice movie is officially in the works!
The Tiger's Apprentice follows a boy named Tom Lee on his adventures of meeting a shape shifting tiger named Mr. Hu. Mr. Hu introduces Lee to a world full of magic, dragons, and evil, and Lee's life is forever changed. The lead voice for Mr. Hu will be none other than Henry Golding. Golding gained a huge amount of recognition after his role in Crazy Rich Asians, which was actually his first Hollywood film project. He has also been cast in Paramount's G.I. Joe spinoff film Snake Eyes. Carlos Baena will be directing the film and the screenplay is co-written by David Magee, Harry Cripss and Kyle Jarrow. The producers include Sandra Rabins and Jane Startz. The executive producers include Raman Hui and Kane Lee.
