The Morning Show is back for its long-awaited second season!
Season one was not only met with critical acclaim, but it also received several Emmy nominations with Billy Crudup winning one for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. The star-studded cast is led by Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston.
Co-star Desean Terry's character, Daniel, goes toe-to-toe with Aniston's character in season two.
"I love Jen. She is amazing. She is a sweetheart. But it is a little fun that you get to like do a little one-two with America's sweetheart," Terry said.
Terry isn't the only familiar face returning to The Morning Show. Meteorologist Yanko Flores, played by Néstor Carbonell, is back for season two as well. The LOST alum had this to say about the show's sophomore season:
"I love that it's not afraid to see perspectives that we're not accustomed to seeing necessarily on television. And allowing the viewer to make up his or her mind on any given issue," Carbonell said.
Despite the return of some familiar faces, season two leaves room for the introduction of some fresh faces as well. Namely, Hasan Minhaj is making the shift from real life Daily Show correspondent to fictional Morning Show co-host.
"It really wasn't a stretch for me to play another fake TV news anchor. The stretch for me was getting to do drama with Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston," Minhaj said.
