Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Visit One World Observatory Ahead Of Global Citizen Live

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle arrived in New York City Thursday to visit the One World Observatory with NYC Mayor Bill De Blasio and NY Governor Kathy Hochul. The couple is also set to attend the Global Citizen Live event Saturday, September 25.

To pay tribute to the lives lost on 9/11, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle joined Mayor De Blasio at the One World Observatory, all dressed up in black in sign of respect for the victims. De Blasio was accompanied by First Lady Chirlane McCray and their son Dante.

This is the first time the couple appeared public since the birth of their daughter Lilibet Diana in June of this year.

But it won't be the last. Prince Harry and Markle are set to attend the Global Citizen Live at Central Park's Great Lawn on September 25 to talk about the importance of vaccines.

Prince Harry had already spoken in favor of vaccines to fight the coronavirus pandemic, calling out the dangerous effect of misinformation in May at the Global Citizen event.

"In today's world, we are so connected like a vast nervous system whether we're online or not and much like the virus there are no borders online. When vaccine misinformation and disinformation spreads, magnified on social media, and in parts of traditional media, it exposes a collective threat to humanity."

Furthermore, Prince Harry had continued by insisting on the importance of vaccine equity all over the world.

"The virus does not respect borders and access to the vaccine cannot be determined by geography."

The couple will attend the Global Citizen Live event on Saturday, September 25.
