On Sunday, at an Arizona concert, Halsey encouraged fans to leave, if they had a problem with their stance on abortion.
A Halsey fan took to Twitter, sharing her outrage about fans exiting the stadium. The tweet caught the attention of the "Eastside" singer, themself.
They replied,
"Downside of doing outdoor venues: no door to hit them on the way out."

During their performance at Phoenix’s Ak-Chin Pavilion amphitheater, Halsey paced the stage in anger as they ranted to fans.
“If you’re mad in this audience right now, and you’re sharing statistics on Instagram and infographics and saying ... ‘That’s really f— up,’ what you should do instead is you should be sharing stories about how you’ve benefited from abortion somehow,” Halsey said onstage.

The New Jersey native used their platform that night to speak up about their own abortion and struggle. While opening their heart on stage, they noticed an abrupt departure form concert goers and added,
“If you don’t like it, you can go home right now. I don’t care. If you don’t like it, I don’t know why you came to a Halsey concert.”
Olivia Rodrigo, Megan Thee Stallion, Phoebe Bridgers, Billie Eilish and Billie Joe Armstrong all also spoke out against the overturning of Roe v. Wade this weekend in front of a live audience.
