Full confession; I am a Gilmore Girls nerd. So imagine how thrilled I was to get to talk to Michel Gerard himself...Yanic Truesdale. For non Gilmore nerds, Michel was the name is his character on the classic show.
2-Part Fallen Angels Murder Club series begins Saturday April 2nd Lifetime
Yanic is busier than ever these days, starring in a show in his native Canada called Les Mecs and now starring in the new Lifetime movie Fallen Angels Murder Club. There are actually two movies in the series, starting April 2nd and continuing April 9th on Lifetime. The films also star music icon Toni Braxton who acts in and executive produces the projects.
"I bought a lot of her albums back in the day. I know all of her songs. But she doesn't know that. I didn't tell her that."
Yanic sharing with me about working with Braxton. He decided to keep his fandom to himself, so as not to disrespect her roles on the set as star and producer.
Yanic no stranger to working with awesome women. He also recently reunited with his Gilmore Girls co-star Melissa McCarthy. She and her husband Ben Falcone invited Yanic to join them on their new Netflix series God's Favorite Idiot. As we wait for the streamer to announce the release date, Yanic shared with me what it was like working with his old friend.
"We go, as you know, way back 22 years now. And she's a good friend and obviously I'm super proud of all that she's accomplished. So I'm really excited."
