Who you gonna call?
It's been nearly 40 years since the original Ghostbusters answered the call and now the crew is suiting up again with a new cast in a new film.
Our senior correspondent, Arthur Kade, connected with Winston Zeddemore himself, Ernie Hudson, to hear what he had to say about returning to the franchise:
"It was almost, it was spiritual, I mean I almost teared up just seeing the guys in their jumpsuits and seeing the new cast."
"The guys" that Hudson referred to are, of course, Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd. The two are joining Hudson for a reunion in the upcoming sequel that has been decades in the making (the 4th original cast member; Harold Ramis, sadly passed away in 2014). Oh, and who are the members of the "new cast"? None other than, Sexiest Man Alive Paul Rudd, recent Emmy-nominee Mckenna Grace and Stranger Things breakout star Finn Wolfhard.
Since 1984, Ghostbusters has blown up into one of the biggest franchises in movie history. When asked how he felt about the legacy of the franchise, Hudson said:
"You know, it's so amazing to me that it's just one of those movies and the fans found it and held onto it, I think even before the studio realized just how really special it was. I meet so many people who tell me stories of growing up and watching it and now their kids watch it and their parents watch it. So, to go back after 35 years and rejoin with that group, realizing how much of an impact it's had on me and my career. Very very very very special. I'm so thankful to even be a part of it."
