Tony winner Andrew Burnap joins Disney's newest remake as neither the huntsman nor prince.

Disney is adding 1938 classic Snow White to their long list of live action remakes.

Disney is keeping their cards close to their chest in regards to the new Snow White project, but we do know a few actors who will be playing key roles. Wonder Woman's Gal Gadot will portray the Evil Queen, with West Side Story's Rachel Zegler as the titular character.

Who will be playing the prince? We still aren't sure. Nor do we know who will be playing the huntsman, or any of the dwarves. What we do know is that Broadway actor Andrew Burnap has been cast as another, entirely new, lead male character.

Burnap is best known for his Tony-winning performance in The Inheritance, where he was awarded best lead actor in a play in 2021. He will reportedly have a singing role in Snow White, but little else is known about the addition of his character.

The remake is produced by Marc Platt, who is also working on the live action The Little Mermaid. Snow White will have La La Land and Dear Evan Hansen's Benj Pasek and Justin Paul on the musical numbers. Unlike the star-studded casting of the past, Disney seems to be leaning more towards a musical theatre approach for this newest project.

Though there's no release date, the project is set to start filming in the Spring, and will be directed by the Amazing Spider-man's Marc Webb. Though unconfirmed, we can expect a theatrical release, and an eventual if not immediate release on Disney+.
