Lin-Manuel Miranda
Originally set to come out on June 5th, the new Hulu Documentary We Are Freestyle Love Supremeshows the journey of the hip-hop improv group, where they came from, where they are now, and where they're going. Hulu describes the documentary as:
"A documentary that chronicles Lin-Manuel Miranda's pre-'Hamilton' improv hip-hop group, Freestyle Love Supreme, and their reunion performances in New York City in 2019."
Postponed
Yesterday, the decision was made to postpone the documentary in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement. Though a tough decision for the creative team, it was the right choice to make. Many studios and media companies have postponed new television or movies in solidarity with the BLM movement. Freestyle Love Supreme had this to say on Twitter:
Black Lives Matter. We will be postponing the release of the #WeAreFreestyleLoveSupreme documentary and look forward to sharing it with you in the future. Today, take action: https://t.co/OX7A2SsiUb pic.twitter.com/uyj7zmkcvq
