Will Elliot Page Replace Ezra Miller as The Flash?

Netflix

After Ezra Miller's recent arrests and accusations, fans have demanded a recast of the Flash, and some think Elliot Page should be the next Barry Allen.

Miller has made headlines recently for their troubles with the law, having been charged with second-degree assault, harassment, alleged physical alterations, and disorderly conduct in multiple different instances. The actor has allegedly also broken into a couples’ bedroom and stolen their belongings. Currently, Miller faces accusations of grooming a young teenager, whose parents filed for a restraining order, claiming,

“Ezra uses violence, intimidation, threat of violence, fear, paranoia, delusions and drugs to hold sway over a young adolescent.”

Meanwhile, Page debuted a transgender superhero who quickly became a fan-favorite on Netflix’s "Umbrella Academy." Fans on Twitter took inspiration, calling for Page to replace Miller in the DC Universe.

DC has yet to make a statement on Miller's allegations or rumored replacement, but Warner Brothers revealed last month that it is too late in the film process to consider recasting the lead role.

The "Flash" movie has been in production for nearly a decade. The movie was originally announced to be "in the works" in 2014 with Ezra Miller as the star. Since then, Miller has appeared in films “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Justice League” as the speedster. Miller’s solo film was set to premiere in November of 2022, although Warner Brothers pushed it back to June 2023.

Though it may be too late for Page to star in this solo film, it is unlikely that Ezra Miller will continue in the DCEU.
