Spotlight: Emily Blunt
After her unforgettable performance in A Quiet Place, all eyes are on Emily Blunt as she assumes the iconic, titular role in Mary Poppins Returns.
Known for inspiring roles, outstanding portrayals, and defying limits, Blunt reflected on her groundbreaking year at the Scad Savannah Film Festival, where she was being honored.
“The whole year, the reaction to A Quiet Place, now I’ve got Mary Poppins coming out, has been a really wild ride.”
When asked about her role in paving the way for dynamic female leads on screen, Blunt reflected on the recent changes she has seen in Hollywood.
“I do think opportunities are opening up left, right, and center in a way that they probably didn’t before; that they were diluted before.”
Emily Blunt flies a magic umbrella into theaters on December 19th with Mary Poppins Returns.
