Juno star Elliot Page and wife Emma Portner are officially calling it quits.

After three years of marriage, the couple announced on Tuesday that they're divorcing.

Page and Portner shared the news in a joint statement, which read:

"After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce following our separation last summer. We have the utmost respect for each other and remain close friends."

Though the statement reveals that the couple split over the summer, Portner remained one of Page's many supporters over recent months. In December, Page came out as a transgender man, and Portner showed her love on Instagram, by writing:

"I am so proud of @elliotpage. Trans, queer and non-binary people are a gift to this world...Elliot's existence is a gift in and of itself. Shine on sweet E. Love you so much."
