Ellen DeGeneres bids farewell to her hit daytime show of 19 seasons, "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."
To commemorate her accomplishments since the start of the show in 2003, the comedian took to social media announcing when the final taping will be aired.
The caption stated, "Today we taped the final episode of The Ellen Show which airs on May 26th."
She went on to say,
"...My goal was always for the show to be a place where we could all come together and laugh for an hour. Being invited into your lives has been the greatest privilege of my life and has brought me incredible joy. Thank you."

She reflected on the amount of time that has passed throughout her career with all the positives and negatives.
"When we started this show in 2003, the iPhone didn’t exist. Social Media didn’t exist. Gay marriage wasn’t legal. We watched the world change, sometimes for the better, sometimes not," DeGeneres said.
Since 2008, when same-sex marriage became legalized in California, DeGeneres has been happily married to actress Portia De Rossi.
Fans are excited to see what the talk show host has in store for her next chapter.
