Our very own Nashville Correspondent, Sam Alex, recently connected with both Luke Combs and Elle King on The Sam Alex Show to talk ACM performances, personal life, and everything in between!
Elle shared with Sam everything about her life growing up, from growing up riding four-wheelers in Ohio to experimenting with drugs in college in the city:
"I went to University of the Arts, it's an art school in Philadelphia, it was awesome. I feel like I got my PhD in LSD, and I learned how to play banjo there."
So, should we be that surprised Elle has a hit song called "Drunk" with Miranda Lambert? The singer joked:
"I'm no stranger to partyin'
She also shared they shot the music video for the single in Nashville and gave Sam a little insight on what shooting was like:
"It was 100% the most fun music video that I've ever shot, and I don't know if it was just because Miranda's really fun, and brings such a wild, kid-like energy to everything. But, it was just- I don't know, I think that's why the video's so good, because we genuinely enjoyed making it."
Don't miss out on the fun when Elle King and Miranda Lambert perform their song "Drunk" at the ACM Awards this upcoming Sunday.
Sam also talked with country singer Luke Combs about his upcoming performance at the award show as well.
"I'm doing "Forever After All"... last year, played just by myself with a keyboard, and uh, just me and my keys player Neal last year, and this year we get to have all the boys back, you know, which will be nice and feel at least like we're doing something, contributing to society in some way shape or form so that'll be fun to do."
Don't miss Sam Alex's coverage of the ACM Awards and performances by Elle King, Luke Combs, and many more. The 56th ACM Awards are being held this Sunday, April 18 at 8/7c on CBS and Paramount Plus!
